Data Deciphered was founded by Duncan McCunn.

The majority of Duncan's career has been in Corporate Finance, specialising in Corporate & Institutional Banking which has given him in depth understanding of the drivers and enablers of business growth.

That experience is applied in producing economic data to measure and support business growth. 

As Head of Barclays in Cambridge (UK), he became closely involved with the development and growth of the Cambridge Ecosystem, helping to found Cambridge Ahead through which the voice of business is given to Government Policy making.

He was CEO of Cambridge&, a body formed by the University of Cambridge, aimed at attracting investment into Cambridge from Global Corporates and high growth companies. He worked closely with broader Ecosystem partners to showcase Cambridge, it’s capability and growth, helping to bring in M&A, Equity and Infrastructure investment of more than £5bn per annum.

The mission for Data Deciphered is to curate and present local data in a way that fits an Innovation led economy, supporting understanding of the current and potential economic contribution of Cambridge.
